Innovate, Apply, Inspire - Be at the leading edge of the graphic communications industry!

The Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) is excited to announce the call for TAGA Research Frontiers or TAGA Technology in Action papers for presentation at the 2025 conference, TAGA NextGen. TAGA is focused on helping develop the next generation of industry technology and leaders. TAGA provides authors with one of the premier platforms for communication, publication, and outreach in the graphic communications industry. For over 75 years TAGA has showcased the most influential collection of scientific papers in our industry, referred to by industry leaders, innovators, researchers, scientists, standards bodies, and end users.

TAGA Research Frontiers Papers are based on new emerging science, technology, and the application of graphic technology workflow and printing processes. Research papers are included in the annual technical proceedings. TAGA Technology in Action Papers cover topics with a broad technology perspective. Action Papers focus on issues that are current to the industry and critical to its development. They can include ideas and solutions relevant to the wider range of the graphic arts industry, best practices, or technical reviews.

A TAGA research or technology paper provides authors recognition at TAGA NextGen and an opportunity to showcase their innovation to some of the leading minds in the industry. A TAGA paper places the author and their organization at the leading edge of the graphic communications industry.

Papers cover a full range of topics impacting the industry. An emphasis for 2025 will be on papers related to sustainability, packaging, printed electronics, automation, and best practices. Papers can also cover such topics as ink, substrates, color, visualization, displays, materials, curing, process control, data management, workflow, security, lean manufacturing, 3D printing, novel applications, fundamental science, and software and computer developments related to all types of printing processes.

Papers will be selected based on submitted abstracts of 500–1,500 words and may include figures. Prospective authors should indicate TAGA Research Frontiers or TAGA Technology in Action paper. Authors can submit papers online at bit.ly/TAGA_Papers.

Authors present their accepted papers at the 2025 conference, TAGA NextGen, March 25-27, 2025, in Boulder, Colorado, USA. TAGA is recognized worldwide as the most prestigious and comprehensive literature resource for graphic arts sciences and technologies.

The deadline for abstracts is October 16, 2024. Authors will be notified of the status of their abstract during November 2024.
